DesignCat in Claude Code
Load the DesignCat source plugin and connect its remote account tools through MCP.
Load the source package
The DesignCat package contains a Claude Code compatibility manifest, a workflow skill and remote MCP configuration. From a local copy of that package:
claude --plugin-dir /absolute/path/to/designcatOpen /mcp and authorize the DesignCat connection with your account. The
repository also includes a Claude plugin marketplace manifest for source-based
installation. This guide does not imply a public marketplace listing or a
verified Claude web-app connector.
Endpoint and credentials
https://api.designcat.io/api/v1/mcp
Use the supported OAuth connection flow or private bearer-key configuration where your client supports it. Create and revoke personal keys in DesignCat My Profile. Never place credentials inside the source package.
Work with saved account resources
Ask Claude Code to read get_agent_workflows and discover the model’s exact
schema before submitting. Confirm the intended placement and cost. Poll the
returned request ID, retain every output and inspect the saved media in the
web app. Unsent browser drafts do not synchronize through MCP.
